For nearly everyday after the harsh long haul working hours in KL and I mean not the normal working hours that "nine to five" crap, I would go to my bedroom cum studio, neglecting families and "non musical" friends just to come up with this musical project, something that I thought might be different as compared to whatever the current local music scene is having right now.
Apart from that, this project is also my personal escape route to freedom i.e. cleansing my brain off from the hectic and problematic day job pressure and stress, but then it has also imprisoned me. It took me nearly 2 freakin' years to complete this project. I was a perfectionist "before" and due to that I was going to withhold the launch of all the songs to the public until I am really satisfied with all the playing, the mixings, the vocal lines and etc. but nah!…enough is enough. I have to admit that the songs in this project are not that perfect…songs are not supposed to be perfect…it must be ear-friendly and easy to digest and remember. But then again, some of my/our songs in this project are not that ear-friendly and not that easy to digest themselves… I let you be the judge of that. And hey, by the way… I am no longer a perfectionist!
The sacrifice, the time spent, the fights with my thoughts and with the friends who are directly involved in this project are priceless. We have tried and done our best in ensuring that all the productions of the songs in this project are outstanding in their own ways and most important of all not "syok sendiri".
These are the first trial, the key, the blood, the sweat and the glory. Anyway, I'm not here to waste your precious time, so here's the deal… My/Our songs are like movies for the ears… so let the films roll in your mind and rock and roll, man!
My name is Norm Aidid and I love my wife, Nadi so much for her sacrifice, her love for me and whatever I fight for! Thanks to the Aidid family, to the Nurshirwan family, Atok Rashid, my musical and non musical friends who were directly and indirectly involved in this project. This also serves as an official apology to all my families in PJ, Shah Alam and my non musical friends as for the past 2 years, I was not being myself.
